Prevea welcomes gastroenterologist, Dr. Kwabena Oware Adu-Gyamfi

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Prevea Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Kwabena Oware Adu-Gyamfi, a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist now caring for patients in Green Bay.

Dr. Adu-Gyamfi sees patients at the Prevea St. Mary’s Health Center, 1860 Shawano Ave. in Green Bay, and performs outpatient procedures at the Prevea Surgery Center and HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital Medical Center

He specializes in colon cancer screening and endoscopic evaluations, offering procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and capsule endoscopy. Dr. Adu-Gyamfi also diagnoses and treats a variety of general digestive and liver diseases, including heartburn and acid reflux; dysphagia (swallowing difficulty); eosinophilic esophagitis; gastrointestinal bleeding; gastroparesis; cirrhosis and chronic liver disease; and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Adu-Gyamfi earned his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School and completed residency in internal medicine at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the Medical College of Georgia-Augusta University and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
