Care for adults

Using the latest treatment and surgical techniques, we provide care for patients with bladder, kidney, prostate and testicular cancer.
Also known a hidden penis. Sometimes the penis can become hidden from tightening of penile skin, or by abdominal or suprapubic skin or fat. Concealed penis can cause problems with urination, sex and self-esteem. Prevea has a men's health specialist who is trained to remove excess skin, fat, or scar tissue to free the penis. Learn more.
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels naturally increase as men age. Elevated PSA levels do not necessarily mean someone has prostate cancer – high PSA levels can also be a result of non-cancerous conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or an infection. When PSA levels get too high, a new and more targeted approach, called a transperineal biopsy, can be used to safely and accurately biopsy the prostate.
Also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia. When the prostate gland is enlarged, it can cause blockage of urine, which affects urination. Some of the common symptoms include weak urine stream, difficulty emptying the bladder and urinating more often. When medication is not effective, Prevea urologists perform multiple surgeries for BPH, including specialists who perform surgery for very large prostates (HoLEP or laser prostatectomy, and robotic simple prostatectomy).  Learn more.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is when a man has trouble getting or keeping an erection. ED is a common and complicated problem, so the medical workup and treatments can vary. Treatment may include lifestyle changes, medical devices, medications taken by mouth or injection or penile implant surgery. Prevea has the only men's health specialist in Green Bay who has extensive training in penile doppler ultrasound, and in placing and replacing inflatable and non-inflatable (malleable) penile implants (also known as penile prostheses).  Learn more.
Also known as loss of urine. This is a common problem which requires evaluation to determine the cause. Treatment options can include lifestyle changes, physical therapy, medications, injections or procedures. Surgeries for stress urinary incontinence can include Bulkamid® injections and sling placement. Learn more.
Also known as low sex drive. Many women deal with this at some point in life, particularly in times of stress or during hormonal changes. There are FDA approved medications which can be used in women at all stages of life. Your urologist will talk to you about different options depending on your particular situation.
This can be bioidentical hormone replacement therapy or taking other medications which are FDA approved. Prevea urologists have extensive training in hormone replacement therapy in females, who can discuss your symptoms and treatment options.
Stone disease, also called urolithiasis, is a painful and common urologic disorder. Kidney stones form in the kidney and kidney stones (ureteral stones) move into the ureter. Prevea provides advanced diagnostic technologies and treatment strategies, including minimally invasive techniques.
This condition used to be called balanitis xerotica obiterans, or BXO. If you have been told you have this condition, it is a good idea to regularly see a urologist. LS can cause urethral stricture (scar tissue). Some men have more than one circumcision to treat this problem, but without proper care, it will keep coming back. Prevea has a men's health specialist who is highly trained in medical and surgical treatment of this condition.
Also known as loss of urine. In males, this is commonly related to previous urology treatments or surgery such as prostate removal surgery or prostate radiation for cancer. Other causes can include men with neurologic disease or who have had many years of blockage from enlarged prostate. Treatment options can include lifestyle changes, physical therapy, medications, injections or procedures. Prevea has the only men's health specialist in Green Bay who has extensive training in surgery for male stress urinary incontinence such as male sling and artificial urinary sphincter placement. Learn more.
This can result from damage to the male reproductive tract, erectile dysfunction, varicoceles (an enlarged vein in testicles) or low sperm count.
This is a very common problem for both men and women. It can cause patients to urinate often, sometimes with a strong urge. Some people will have urinary leakage due to this condition. Treatments can include lifestyle changes, physical therapy, medications or procedures.
Men can develop scar tissue in the penis which can cause the penis to develop a curve or bend. Curves in the penis can occur in people with and without ED (erectile dysfunction). Sometimes this does not bother people, but some men or their partners find the curve uncomfortable or difficult when trying to have intercourse or sexual activity. Other men may be bothered by how the penis looks. Prevea has the only men's health specialist in Green Bay who has extensive training in surgeries to correct penile curvature.
Testosterone is a hormone made by the testicles. It regulates sex drive, bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength and the production of red blood cells and sperm. Certain health conditions, medicines or injury can lead to low testosterone. Testosterone level also naturally drops with age.
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the second most common type of infection in the body. They occur when bacteria migrate from the digestive tract to the urethra. Symptoms include abnormal urination, pain, incontinence, nausea, vomiting, fever and chills. It mostly affects women. Learn more.
Men who have urethral stricture often have trouble with blockage of urine causing symptoms such as weak or spraying stream, urinating often, or getting infections. This condition requires evaluation of the location and amount of scar tissue to provide the correct treatment. Prevea has the only men's health specialist in Green Bay who has extensive training in surgeries to remove scar tissue in the urethra, known as urethroplasty.
This is the swelling of veins next to a testicle. It’s usually harmless, but if you are in pain or have fertility problems, treatment can help. Usually, a varicocele develops in young children, but it is often discovered in late adolescence when more blood flows to the testicles. Some men don’t notice it until later in life.
Vasectomies are one of the most common procedures performed by urologists worldwide. It's the most effective male contractive method. They can also be reversed. Learn more.

Care for children

A hydrocele occurs when fluid collects in the scrotum and causes it to swell. This may or may not be accompanied by a hernia. A hydrocele or a hernia may be on one or both sides. If needed, surgery is routinely done in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient surgery center. The majority of children who undergo surgery for hydrocele and hernia do exceptionally well after surgery.
This is a surgery to remove the foreskin. Circumcision later in life can be done, but it has more risks and recovery may take longer. Circumcision revision is the repair of a previous circumcision, which is a quick outpatient procedure.
Undescended testicles occurs when one or both testicles fail to move into the scrotum before birth. If one or both does not descend, sperm production can be impaired and there is a risk of complications.
