“
As a urologist, I care for patients of all ages and at all stages of life. I utilize laser and minimally invasive techniques when possible, especially in regard to enlarged prostates and kidney surgery. I perform all modalities of renal laparoscopy for both cancer and benign diseases of the kidney. My services range from consultation to surgery.
I became a physician because I wanted a profession that would challenge me for my entire professional career. Medicine is constantly changing and I enjoy being a “life-long” learner.
I consider myself a general urologist and enjoy all aspects of urologic medicine. However, I particularly enjoy working with children and with patients facing urologic cancer and stone disease.
I enjoy when patients come to their appointment with questions and I am also very willing to provide all necessary information. The best thing they can bring is an open mind and a sense of comfort that it is my intention to help them with whatever urological problems they have.
I want my patients to participate in their health care. I will help them understand the options and feel comfortable with the decisions they need to make. I also believe it is critical for me to stay in touch with the patient’s primary care physician, to keep him or her abreast of the patient’s progress.
My hobbies and personal interests include spending time with my Chesapeake Bay retriever named “Cayenne,” and playing golf. I am certified in SCUBA, and enjoy riding my mountain bike and working out on a regular basis. I also enjoy traveling."
