HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital

When you need inpatient hospital care or an outpatient procedure, you can be rest assured that you and your loved ones will receive the highest quality of care. 

HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital has been in Sheboygan since 1890. Since treating our first patient in 1890, our mission and vision has been to provide family centered, compassionate care without regard to race, creed or ability to pay.  

In 2008 Prevea and HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital entered into an affiliation agreement and Prevea began providing care in Sheboygan. This agreement provided for enhanced physician recruitment, the implementation of an electronic health record system and improved delivery of health care to Sheboygan County residents. Through our relationship, we have been able to bring more specialty physicians, surgeons and advanced practice providers to the Lakeshore. 

Since partnering with Prevea, HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital has grown and expanded its medical services to provide more options for inpatient and outpatient care, including: 

  • Surgical and other hospital-based care services at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital.
  • Outpatient surgical procedures at the Sheboygan Surgery Center. 
  • Primary and specialty care at Prevea Health Centers. 
  • Appointments and consultations with Prevea specialists, representing 30 medical specialties at the Prevea Sheboygan Medical Office building. 
  • Access to the expertise, technologies and services of additional HSHS Hospital and Prevea Health locations throughout Northeast Wisconsin.
