“
My approach to patient care is straightforward. I try to formulate a working diagnosis of a patient’s symptoms based on a detailed history, physical exam and any studies that are obtained-often X-rays or MRIs. This leads to consideration of all possible treatments for that diagnosis sometimes operative, but often non-operative.
There is frequently more than one good treatment plan for an orthopedic problem. Deciding on the best treatment plan requires knowledge of the unique occupational, family, social, financial and cultural considerations of each patient. This is why I try to be very aware of and understand my patients’ individual circumstances, so that together we can collaborate on choosing a treatment plan that best fits their needs, at that particular time."
