“
I chose to enter health care as a high school student, and was then accepted into the medical scholars program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I am grateful for this opportunity because I receive a lot of satisfaction from helping patients.
I believe in practicing the most current evidence-based medicine. Medicine is not static, and both patients and physicians need to continually adapt and expand their knowledge of health care.
Every interaction with patients and other providers, whether positive or negative, has shaped and continues to shape my practice of patient care. I believe in listening to and respecting patient wishes in order to meet their individual needs.
When scheduling initial appointments, patients can expect a complete history and physical with a special focus on their area(s) of concern. Diabetic patients should expect to have their feet inspected for ulcers or sores and should bring their meter, glucose log book and a current medication list to each appointment.
My areas of special interest include thyroid disorders and thyroid cancer, as well as ultrasound-guided thyroid biopsies."
