“
I chose to go into pediatrics because I enjoy helping children be as healthy as possible while they grow and develop.
I strive to provide patients with education about preventive care as well as different medical conditions and treatment so they have a better understanding of their health. By communicating with patients and their families and actively involving the entire family when discussing medical care, together we can determine which treatment option is most appropriate for them.
I place an emphasis on communication. I have been involved in research on physician communication, and use this knowledge to more effectively discuss medical care with patients and families.
The Pediatric Global Heath Track, which I completed at the University of Minnesota, focuses on the care of underserved children in or from low-income countries. I feel this experience gives me a broad knowledge base from which I can care for all children.
I grew up in the Green Bay area, and am very excited to continue my career in my hometown. I enjoy following sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. I also enjoy playing golf."
