“
Through both internship and residency, I have worked with a variety of people from a wide age range, backgrounds, cultures and issues. The one area that particularly sticks out is working with women of all ages, children, teens/adolescents, adults and elderly women. No matter what age or life stage they have been in there have been deeply engrained societal expectations that influence who they become, how they act, think and the issues they face. It has been such an experience getting to work through these expectations, labeling them and helping them work through deep-rooted concerns.
My philosophy for therapy is to be realistic and empathetic. I also like to amplify that steps (progress) can look different for each person. Some may make large strides, some smaller, and some may seem like small baby steps. However, even the smallest steps, baby steps, are still steps towards progress and reaching goals.
Patients can expect a kind, caring and warm environment. I am there to help guide and provide my knowledge, however, I emphasize the client is the expert in their life."
