I believe one of my greatest strengths is my empathy, and meeting people where they are at brings me so much fulfillment. I believe that often the true healing of therapy comes from the safety of the therapeutic alliance, so instead of offering advice, I seek to understand the person I am with nonjudgmentally, holistically, generationally, and from a trauma-informed lens. A patient sitting with me can expect a safe and welcoming environment where their experience is honored, insight is offered with kindness, and the full context of their life is respected. During my internship at Prevea, I was immersed in a culture of interdisciplinary patient-centered care that solidified my belief that community is at the core of all we do. Having a diverse, interdisciplinary team is the best service we can provide to everyone, patient or provider. I am a member of the beautifully diverse queer community, and love to attend recreational and advocacy events dedicated to my community. I am also a huge nerd! I love to play D&D and dress up as characters to attend Renaissance Faires. I recharge my human-battery through naps, outdoor adventures with my dog, nerdy fun with friends, caring for my many houseplants and meditation."
