“
As a family medicine physician, I enjoy the full scope of family practice. I want to help people take control of their own health and lives and to make healthy choices that will impact them positively into the future.
To make the most of an office visit, I recommend that a person brings a list of concerns and what he or she wants to achieve through the office visit.
I chose Family Medicine because I like to working with, and getting to know people of all ages. I feel that getting to know the whole family gives me more insight into a person’s health. I also like the variety of things we see in family medicine. I like being the first person my patients come to see when they have a concern. I feel like that is a great privilege.
I have an interest in Women's Health. I enjoy spending time with my family up north, scrapbooking and reading.
Patients may be interested in knowing that I share a medical practice with my husband David Spika, MD, so that one of us can always be home with our kids. We have three young boys: Sam, Andrew and Luke."
