“
A career in pediatrics allows me to bond with my patients as they grow while being challenged by their changing needs from cradle to college. I grew up in Northeast Wisconsin and I am excited to provide care for the community that raised me.
My role as a pediatrician is to provide patients with comprehensive health care and education for each child's overall physical and mental health, growth and development. If a child has a medical illness or condition, I educate the patient and family and offer guidance about the cause, various treatment options and what to expect as the condition progresses or if changes in management should be considered.
Caring for a child involves developing a partnership with the child, parents and physician during routine and ill visits in order to foster trust and superior service with continuity of care.
Many times parents have multiple questions or concerns for their pediatrician that they forget when they are actually at the visit. It is helpful to write down these concerns prior to the appointment and bring the list to the visit. It is also helpful if parents provide a list of all medications, including prescription, OTC, or herbal medications, that the child is receiving as well as a copy of immunizations that the child has received. Any forms that will need to be completed should also be brought to the appointment so they can be completed in a timely matter."
