Neurologic diseases and nervous system disorders affect how the entire body works. When something goes wrong with one part of the central nervous system — brain, spinal cord, or nerves — there can be trouble moving, speaking, swallowing, breathing, or learning. Problems with memory, senses, or mood can also occur.

Memory Assessment Clinic
The clinic is staffed by an experienced neuropsychologist, neurologists, nurse practitioner and neuropsychometrists dedicated to diagnosing the causes of memory loss and treating dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. We also provide the tools and knowledge to cope with memory loss for both the patient and the family.
Prevea is affiliated with the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute (WAI) which means the staff has access to the latest knowledge of dementia treatment options and research opportunities. Staff also receives training, observation time and/or guidance from the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute and the University of Wisconsin Health Memory Assessment Clinic.
Concerned about memory loss in yourself or a loved one?
Forgetfulness can sometimes be a normal part of aging, making it hard to know when to get help. We’re here to relieve the anxiety and worry.
Memory loss, behavior changes or a significant difference in one’s ability to think clearly are all reasons to talk to a specialist — and because people with dementia lose their mental abilities at different rates, it’s never too early to call.
When memory concerns start affecting daily routines, don’t wait; seek medical advice to determine the cause of the symptoms and how to improve the quality of life. Early recognition and intervention can help individuals and loved ones understand and adapt to changes in memory. Specialists at the Prevea Memory Assessment Clinic can evaluate the extent of memory loss and develop a plan of care that best suits your needs.
